Description
Featuring generous proportions and soft volumes, Ruffle Bed expresses deep, calibrated comfort, designed to provide an enveloping resting experience. The defining element of the piece is the slender, linear headboard, available in both low and high versions and slightly raised from the floor. Conceived to enhance the sense of well-being, it becomes an aesthetic feature capable of enriching the surrounding space with elegance.
Ruffle Bed is offered with a single upholstered headboard, fully covered in fabric or leather, or with two independent elements. This approach allows for both symmetrical and asymmetrical configurations, offset along the width of the sommier, enabling the integration of nightstands and expanding the compositional possibilities.
The design of the bed is defined by a pattern of paired bands that wrap around the headboard and base, following their shape to create the effect of a continuous quilt, enhancing an overall softness. Carefully applied and stitched onto the upholstery with great precision, these details reveal a sartorial craftsmanship of exceptional refinement. The base supporting the mattress consists of a sprung sommier, an ideal solution for ensuring optimal sleep. The entire structure is raised on metal technical feet that visually lighten the piece, while the headboard is supported by blades. A well-balanced project, enriched by construction details that reflect the brand’s ability to achieve a high level of accuracy and quality craftsmanship.

GamFratesi
Minotti and GamFratesi began collaborating in 2018. The design of GamFratesi, architecture firm established in 2006 in Copenhagen by Italian-Danish duo Enrico Fratesi and Stine Gam, is rooted in the perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and technology, rigour and poetry. With their different cultural backgrounds, Stine Gam and Enrico Fratesi model their creative intuitions into designs that draw from both the classic decor and artisan tradition of Denmark and the classic Italian intellectual and conceptual approach.
A tried and tested melting pot of styles, expressed in furniture, objects, and installations with a silent elegance, in the production techniques used and in the meticulous attention to detail applied to the creations. The result is a sophisticated interpretation of Scandinavian minimalism, with many subtle, yet striking Nordic hints.
